About Us
From 1870 to the present day, Italian Style...
Founded in 1870 in the city of Varese, Italy, by shoe manufacturer Santino Troli and his son Luigi, the Divarese brand pioneered many innovations in the shoe industry. Up until the 19th century, shoe production was custom-made and based on orders. However, with the shoe stitching machine imported by the father and son, the concept of shoe production underwent a complete transformation, laying the foundations for mass production.
During the same period, Santino and his son, who also played a leading role in the development of shoe size standards, opened their first store named "Calzaturificio Di Varese" in Milan in 1899. The brand's first advertising poster, designed by the popular graphic artist of the time, Leopoldo Metlicovitz, made a big impact in Italy.
In the following periods, with the acquisition by the Benetton group, the Calzaturificio di Varese brand was transformed into "Divarese". Since 2010, the brand continues to be a pioneer in shoe and bag fashion under A&Y Marka Mağazacılık. In addition to its own designs, the George Hogg brand, which is the first that comes to mind when it comes to Oxford shoes and has become a classic with its quality and timelessness, is also under the roof of Divarese.
Without compromising on quality, Divarese, which leads the sector with its modern and dynamic designs, emphasizes that the shoe-bag duo is much more than just an accessory.
